Enjoy the festive celebration of the holidays in Marpole, on Granville Street between 63rd and 71st Avenues.
The Marpole Business Association is continuing with the tradition of celebrating the holidays with our twelfth annual Christmas in Marpole Village. This event is a month-long celebration of the holidays in Marpole, one which involves the entire community.
Festive winter-themed street banners are on display. Christmas lights are glowing in the street trees, and white lights twinkle on the lamp-posts. Santa Claus and the sound of strolling carolers will all contribute to a beautiful, holiday-inspired environment.

The Marpole BIA is very pleased to be partnering again with Marpole Oakridge Family Place and Stone Community Church to help local needy families and children this holiday season.
Please encourage your customers to drop off a canned or non-perishable food item to one of these locations: Royal Bank | VanCity | TD Bank BMO | Scotiabank | Marpole Library Marpole Family Place
Holiday Caroling & Music
The Marpole BIA is pleased to have engaged the festive sounds of the Fandango Quartet again this year. The ladies will provide their wonderful & melodic holiday caroling along Granville St. on all the Saturdays in December, including on December 17, 2016.
The jolly gentlemen of Santa’s Brass will also return to Granville St, playing seasonal tunes on all the Saturdays in December as well.
Please make all of our entertainers feel warm & welcome when they pop into your business.
Santa Stroll
Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will make a special appearance in Marpole on Saturday, December 17, 2016!
Between 12 noon and 3 PM, Santa will stroll Granville Street, stopping in shops and handing out candy canes. He may also take gift requests, but only if you’ve been nice!
Seasonal Lighting
The Marpole BIA installed all new, energy-efficient LED lights in the street trees along Granville Street last year. We are looking to expand the program this year.
These lights will be on during the holiday season, and will remain illuminated throughout the year to beautify the street and create a bright pedestrian atmosphere.

Strolling carolers & musicians sing/play festive music to get you into the holiday spirit (also on December 5th and 12th, 2015).

Help a neighbour in need this holiday season. Drop off a non-perishable or canned food item until December 19th, 2015, at seven locations in Marpole; Marpole Branch Library, Royal Bank, TD Bank, VanCity, BMO, Scotiabank & Marpole Family Place. Also at BMO at Oakridge Centre.
All donated items will be collected and distributed through Marpole-Oakridge Family Place & Cornerstone Community Church.
Christmas Tree Lighting raises funds for Marpole Cares
DEC 17, 2014 — The Marpole Business Association (MBA) and Marpole Physiotherapy Clinic are pleased to announce that the Christmas Tree Lighting in Marpole Village raised over $1,700 for the sixth annual Marpole Cares charity campaign.
More than 14 local Marpole businesses donated to sponsor the Tree Lighting event, with additional support generously provided by Art Knapp, Safeway, and Silvestre Law Photography. Non-perishable food donations will be accepted at the Marpole branch Library and local financial institutions until Friday, December 19th.
In partnership with the Marpole BIA, Marpole Oakridge Family Place and Cornerstone Church, Marpole Cares brings together the business, non-profit and residential communities to assist local needy families and children. Last year Marpole Cares brought holiday cheer, toys, food and a Christmas dinner to more than 20 local families and 70 individuals.
The Marpole Business Association BIA represents over 200 business and property owners in the Marpole commercial district in south Vancouver.

Window & Building Facade Light Up
The MBA encourages business and property owners to join their neighbours in outlining their shop windows and building facades and rooftops with Christmas lights. This adds to the festive atmosphere in the area during the holidays.
Seasonal Holiday Lighting
The bright lights of Marpole are on! All of the seasonal lighting in Marpole – whether in the street trees or on the light standards – will be kept on until the end of February 2015.
