The Marpole BIA is delighted to announce that we are partnering with HeyYa carts for the launch of HeyYa Marpole this summer.
This free community shuttle service in and around Marpole’s Granville Street commercial district will take place every Saturday in July and August, starting on July 4th.

What?
Marpole HeyYa is a six-seater electric golf cart. It is fully insured with ICBC and is street legal. It will be operated by a mature and experienced driver as part of a free community shuttle service sponsored by the Marpole BIA.
Drivers of the Marpole HeyYa will welcome you aboard, and follow a route that highlights Marpole amenities, including; the business along Granville Street, Marpole Library, Marpole Neighbourhood House, Colbourne House, Historic Joy Kogawa House, St. Augustine Church, Marpole Midden, Metro Theatre and many of our parks and green spaces.
The Marpole HeyYa driver will share Marpole history, secret facts and fascinating details about our community. There may even be a ghost story or two!
Where?
The starting pick up and drop off point will be Marpole Safeway at West 70th Avenue and Granville Street, starting at 10 AM.
The Marpole HeyYa cart will follow a set route (see map below) on a regular loop until 7 PM. The driver may opt to pick up and drop off people shopping or walking as they see fit.
All you need to do is flag the driver down if you see them, and if there’s room, they’ll be happy to pick you up.

When?
Every Saturday in July and August. Marpole HeyYa shuttle will operate from 10 AM to 7 PM.
Who?
Anyone can ask for a ride, subject to space, aboard the Marpole HeyYa free community shuttle. There is not cost or payment for this service.
Riders must wear seat belts and remain seated at all times. Riders must be respectful of the driver and not inhibit the safe operation of the Marpole HeyYa cart. Abusive behaviour will not be tolerated. The driver reserves the right to refuse rides.
This project is sponsored by the Marpole BIA.
