The Marpole BIA is delighted that its long-awaited southern entrance welcome sign has been installed. Located at the northeastern corner of West 70th Avenue and Granville St., the I Love Marpole sign is the vertical twin to the sign installed at West 63rd Avenue in 2020.
The sign is meant to be a point of pride and identification for the Marpole community. The area around the sign will be landscaped with drought-tolerant plants, and several flower pots will surround the sign to allow for the planting of seasonal floral arrangements.
The Marpole BIA thanks the City of Vancouver, Tops Lighting, and Ken Stobbs Landscaping for their support and assistance in bringing this community project to life.
